Since I got rid of 80% of my belongings and moved into a 144 square foot tiny house in 2015, I have been asked all kinds of questions about minimalism and tiny living.
“Do you miss all of your stuff?”
“Do you ever feel claustrophobic?”
“How in the world did you get rid of so much?”
“Do you wish you could go back?”
Well, the quick answers to those questions are: No, No, determination and nope! (in that order)
I also found that people have a lot of misconceptions when it comes to downsizing. The biggest one being that you will have to live in depravity, with nothing but a wooden chair, some granola and a bucket for a bathroom.
But that is anything but the case! Downsizing is NOT about depriving… it’s about thriving! There are so many benefits to de-cluttering your home and embracing a downsized lifestyle that I could go on about it for days.
But instead, I will just give you a few of my favs.
